LucyD’s encounter with the mischievous bunnies living in the burrow under the Marshmallow Tree and other adventures August 9, 2007

LucyD woke up startled and disoriented. She opened her eyes just in time to catch a glimpse of a bunny leaping off her tummy and scrambled into a burrow at lightning speed.
She looked around her, trying to get her bearings back & remembered that she was reading a book about "How to stay awake" & must have fallen a sleep under the spreading crown of the Marshmallow Tree.
LucyD rubbed her eyes sleepily, got to her feet groggily,& followed in the direction of the bunny’s trail, in search of her furry prankster.
In the burrow, the bunny was feeling so smug about getting away once again with another of it’s mischievous deeds that it failed to realize that it’s ears was sticking out of the burrow like a pair of antennas. It didn’t take LucyD long to spot them.
Smugness quickly turned into fear when LucyD pulled the it out of the burrow by the ears. Looking at the trembling bunny twitching it’s nose nervously, LucyD wanted to burst out laughing but put on her stern demeanor instead. And with mock seriousness, reprimanded the bunny with: " That was rude! I think you ought to be taught some manners.". Just then, she saw another pair of ears sticking out of the burrow, then another, then another, then another, until there were all together 4 bunnies huddling together side by side. "Aha! There are more of you! I am gonna have rabbit stew tonight." "Please don’t hurt us", they pleaded in perfect synchrony with their small voices. They looked close to tears with their eyes all red. Awww … Who could punish such endearing creatures? LucyD let the mischievous bunny go without so much of a disapproving look.
The bunny slipped off LucyD’s grasp & quickly fall in line with the rest of the bunnies. What funny creatures, LucyD thot. She wonder how it is like in the burrow. As if reading LucyD’s thot, they asked (in perfect syncrony, of course!):" Wanna visit our burrow?" "Okay!", LucyD replied without hesitation. "But you have to promise to keep what you see a secret." Secret! Oh, LucyD loves secrets. Of course that made LucyD even more curious about the bunnies’ underground life. She made her promise and one by one they jumped into the burrow. Not knowing what to expect, LucyD took a deep breathe and jumped after them.
After falling through a long tunnel, she finally landed with a thud. She couldn’t believe what she was seeing! There is a whole new world right below the ground of The Garden of Marshmallow! 4pm
